Taekwon-do is a martial art that was founded in Korea which combines combat techniques, self-defense, sport, exercise, meditation, and philosophy.
There are six belts: white, yellow, green, blue, red and black. White is given to beginners and black is given to students who have progressed through the grades and have a solid foundation for learning the techniques of Taekwon-Do.
A Taekwon-do student's oath emphasizes loyalty, respect, perseverance, self-control, and an indomitable spirit, fostering personal growth and ethical responsibility within the martial art.
